ASRB ARS / NET Notification 2017-18 Form
The Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board has released Detailed Notification in regard to National Eligibility Test (NET) I 2017 for admission into the Courses opted for by the Candidates.
Rules of Examination For NET (I) 2017 Eligibility Criteria:
The Rules for the National Eligibility Test (I) 2017 Examination to be held by the Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board are published for general information.
A Candidate must be either
i) A Citizen of India, or
ii) A Citizen of Nepal, or
iii) A Citizen of Bhutan, or
iv) A Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before the 1st January, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma (Myanmar), Sri Lanka and East African Countries Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar) Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Provided that a Candidate belonging to Categories (ii), (iii), (iv) above shall be a Person in whose favor a Certificate of Eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
A Candidate must have attained the Age of 21 Years as on 01.08.2017.
There is no Upper Age Limit for the National Eligibility Test.
A Candidate must possess a Master’s Degree or Equivalent in the concerned Discipline and Specialization completed on or before 01.08.2017 from any Indian University incorporated by an Act of Central Legislature or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institution established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act (UGCA), 1956 or he / she must have the Educational Qualification from a Foreign University recognized as Equivalent by the Government of India (GoI)
ASRB ARS NET 2017 e-Admit Cards
The Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board would release the electronic Admit Cards / Hall Examination Tickets Minimum Two Weeks prior to the ASRB ARS National Eligibility Test 2017 scheduled to be held at the Date declared for the same. The Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board would release on the Official Website the electronic Admission Certificates for the Candidates.
ASRB ARS National Eligibility Test 2017 Result, Merit List:
The Controller of Examinations, based on the Candidates individual Performance, shall prepare Final Select List, Merit List.
ASRB ARS NET(I)-2017: Syllabus/Exam Pattern
There will be one Paper for 150 Marks comprising 150 Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions to be solved in 02 (Two) Hours. Each Question carries 01 (One) Mark. These 150 Multiple Choice Questions of Objective Type shall be derived from the respective Discipline in which the Candidate has opted to appear.
Minimum Marks required for Qualifying (I) 2017:
The Category of the Candidate Minimum Qualifying Marks Un-Reserved (I) (General) 50% Marks Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer) 45% Marks I / I/ Persons with Disabilities (I) 40% Marks. However, the Board reserves the right to fix / modify the Qualifying Marks in any or all Disciplines at its discretion.1/3 Mark / (0.33 Marks) will be deducted for each Wrong Answer in the NET (I) 2017. Total Marks obtained will be rounded off to the next Higher Integer in case of 0.5 and above and to the immediate Lower Integer in case of 0.4 and below.
The Examination shall be conducted in the Computer Based Online Test Format at the Designated Centers. The Answers are to be indicated on the Computer Based Online Test itself during the Examination.
