ICAI CA CPT Registration 2017 Online Application Form, Imp Dates | icai.org: Takes cognizance of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) Communiqu in respect of the Chartered Accountants Common Proficiency Test (CA CPT) 2017 being superseded by the New Entry Level Examination (NLE) being introduced for admission into Foundation Course commencing in the Year 2017 onward and would like to state in the subsequent Paragraphs.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India upon observing that the CA Aspiring Candidates with deep knowledge of the Course, were not getting admission due to CA CPT consisting of Objective Type of the Paper.

Nota Bene:

The New Entry Level Examination being introduced for admission into Foundation Course consisting of Accounting & Business Law (ABL) would be held as Subjective Format. Apart from these two Papers, there shall be two other Objective Papers. Besides Mathematics Paper, these Papers shall comprise Logical Reasoning, Statistics and Statistics, Business Reporting & Economics. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India is going to discontinue Registration for admission into Matriculation for Chartered Accountants. Such Applicants would be able to register for admission into Class Twelve (XII).

Common Proficiency Test Qualifying / Passing:

From June 2013 Common Proficiency Test (CPT) onwards, in order to pass the CPT (Examination), a Candidate is required to secure, at one Sitting, Minimum 30% Marks in each Section and Minimum 50% Marks in Aggregate of all Sections.

ICAI CA~CPT 2017 Notification

Institute of Chartered Accountants of India shall release towards March-end 2017 ICAI New Entry Level Examination Detailed Notification for admission into Foundation Course commencing June 2017 onwards.

CA Syllabus 2016 Foundation Course (NLE / CPT) Syllabus Applicable from 2016 onwards:

Foundation Course: Number of Papers: IV

There are 4 Papers in CA Foundation Course. Remember one thing that Paper 2 and Paper 4 will be Objective Type Papers comprising Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions. Read below:

Paper I: Principles & Practices of Accounting (100 Marks)

Paper 2*: Business Mathematics and Logical Reasoning & Statistics (100 Marks)

  • Part I: Business Mathematics and Logical Reasoning (60 Marks)
  • Part II: Statistics (40 Marks)

Paper 3: Mercantile Law & General English (100 Marks)

  • Part I: Mercantile Law (60 Marks)
  • Part II: General English (40 Marks)

Paper 4*: Business Economics & Business and Commercial Knowledge (100 Marks)

  • Part I: Business Economics (60 Marks)
  • Part II: Business and Commercial Knowledge (40 Marks)

*Paper 2 and Paper 4 shall comprise the Multiple Choice Questions of Objective Type:

Note:

  1. Passing Percentage: Subject-wise 40% Marks at One Sitting, Aggregate 50% Marks.
  2. Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions carrying 01 Marks or more Marks.
  3. Examination: In the month of November and May after passing Class XII

CA IPCC New Syllabus 2017

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has announced certain changes in the CA IPCC Syllabus also. Here, we are citing the Changes commencing 2016 in CA IPCC Syllabus / Scheme.

  1. At present, CA IPCC Examination consists of 7 papers. In the New Scheme there shall be 08 Papers for the IPCC Examination.
  2. Changes in CA IPCC Cost Accounting & Financial Management

Now Costing and Financial Management Test for 100 Marks. But as per the New Scheme

  • Costing Examination for 100 Marks (Group I)
  • Financial Management Examination for 60 Marks (Group II)
  1. Changes in CA IPCC Law Paper

Communication of Law Paper 20 Marks has been dropped from CA IPCC Law Paper.

  • Business Law of 30 Marks dropped from CA IPCC.
  • The Weight age of the Marks for the Companies Act has been increased to 60 Marks
  • Other Laws is for 20 Marks and the Ethics for 20 Marks
  1. Changes in CA IPCC Tax Examination Tax Paper has been divided into 02 Parts
  • Direct Tax 60 Marks
  • Indirect Tax 40 Marks
  1. Information Technology and Strategic Management Paper also included in CA IPCC Group 2.

Changes in CA Final Final Syllabus 2017

ICAI has announced a few Changes in CA Final Syllabus 2016 also. These Changes in CA Final Syllabus / Scheme Applicable from 2016. In the New Scheme also there are 8 Papers for CA Final Examination.

  • The Subject Information Systems Control and Audit (ISCA) Paper for 50 Marks.
  • International Taxation for 30 Marks has been added in CA Final Syllabus 2016 view of increasing importance of the Subject in the present Global World.
  • A New Subject Financial Services and Capital Market has been included to make CA more Competitive in the Finance related Areas.
  • The Nomenclature Corporate Laws and other Economic Laws has been kept to make the name more Representative of the Subject.

CA New Course | Foundation Route:

Revised Scheme: Route I Foundation Course

Under the Foundation Course Route, the following steps are required

  1. Register with Board of Studies (BoS) after appearing in Class XII till June 30/Dec 31.
  2. Be eligible to appear for Foundation examination after passing Class XII examination. The First Foundation Examination can be taken in November / May, as Applicable, following passing of Class XII Examination.
  3. Qualify Foundation Course.
  4. Register with the BoS for the Intermediate Course.
  5. Complete 08 Months of Study
  6. Appear and Passed in either or both Groups of Intermediate Course
  7. Successfully complete Four Weeks Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (ICITSS) before commencement of the Practical Training
  8. Register for Three Years Practical Training on Passing either or both the Groups of Intermediate.
  9. Register for the Final Course after qualifying both the Groups of Intermediate Course.
  10. Successfully complete Four Weeks Advanced ICITSS during the last Two years of Practical Training.
  11. Complete Practical Training.
  12. Appear in Final examination after completion of Practical Training and Advanced ICITSS.
  13. Become Member.

Note: ICAI has decided in principle the above-mentioned Scheme. However, the Scheme will be notified in the Official Gazette in due Course.

ICAI CA NLE e-Admit Cards, June 2017

The Controller of Examinations, Institute of Chartered Accountants of India would release the e-Admittance Tickets Two Weeks prior to the Date for CA New Entry Level Test Foundation Course, June 2017. Precise Details including the Online Registration Schedule, issuance of the electronic Admit Cards / Hall Tickets, Results for CA NLE, June 2017, in concurrence with Institute of Chartered Accountants of India Communiqu\xe9s in this regard shall be put up for display for the ready reference of the CA Foundation Course Examination Participants.

CA New Course | Direct Entry Route

Revised Scheme: Route II Direct Entry Route:

The ICAI allows Commerce Graduates / Post-Graduates (with Minimum 55% Marks) or Other Graduates / Post-Graduates (with Minimum 60% Marks) and Intermediate Level passed Students of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and Institute of Cost Accountants of India to enter directly to its Intermediate Course. The Following Steps are required to be undertaken by the Eligible Graduates and Post Graduates under this Route:

  1. Register with the BOS for the Intermediate course (provisional registration allowed to the students doing Final year of Graduation).
  2. Successfully complete Four Weeks Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (ICITSS) before commencement of the Practical Training.
  3. Register for Three Years Practical Training.
  4. Appear in Intermediate Examination after Nine Months of Practical Training.
  5. Qualify Intermediate Course.
  6. Register for the Final Course after qualifying both Groups of Intermediate Course.
  7. Successfully complete Four Weeks Advanced ICITSS during the last two years of Practical Training.
  8. Complete Practical Training.
  9. Appear in Final examination after completion of Practical Training and Advanced ICITSS.
  10. Become Member

Note:

The Candidates, who have passed Intermediate Level Examination of ICSI / ICWAI and enter the CA Intermediate Course directly, shall be treated on par with Foundation Course Qualified / Passed Students and shall have to undergo the CA Course in the manner into the Foundation passed Students.

Four Weeks Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (ICITSS)

Duration:

04 Weeks (02 Weeks for Soft Skills and 02 Weeks for IT)

Deadline for Completion:

The Students registering for the Intermediate Course shall have to pursue ICITSS before commencement of the Practical Training.

Assessment Test:

An assessment Test shall be conducted at the end of the Course which the Students have to qualify to become Eligible for appearing in the Intermediate Examination.

Practical Training:

Duration of Practical Training: 03 (Three) Years

Commences after completing the Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (ICITSS) and passing either or Both Groups of Intermediate.

For the Direct Entrants coming through Graduation and Post Graduation, the Practical Training commences immediately after they complete 04 (Four) Weeks ICITSS.

Advance Four Weeks Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (AICITSS)

Duration:

04 Weeks (02 Weeks for Soft Skills and 02 Weeks for Advanced Information Technology)

When to complete:

The Students undergoing Practical Training shall be required to do AICITSS during the Last 02 Years of Practical Training but to complete the same before appearing in the Final Examination.

Assessment Test:

An Assessment Test shall be conducted at the end of the Course which the Students have to Qualify for being Eligible to appear in the Final Examination.
