After the nail biting match into the Adelaide oval ground in Australia between the England and Bangladesh ends with a Bangladesh win which thrown England out from the world-cup and make a non-expected team that is Bangladesh enter into quarter finals. This is the first time we are probably going to see four Asian teams in the quarter-finals. Sri Lanka and Bangladesh from Pool A, India and Pakistan from Pool B. I hope the Asian nations continue their good form.
The match remained breathtaking at the end. It was not a cake walk for any of the team. Both teams struggle a lot to win this match but at the end luck is with Bangladesh this time. It is second time when Bangladesh enters into quarterfinal, first was in 2003 when Bangladesh defeats India to enter into quarterfinal.
Bangladesh win the toss and bats first and score 275 with the loss of 7 wickets in 50 overs. From Bangladesh team, Mahmudullah scored a ton and wicket keeper Mushfiqur Rahim scored a much needed 89 runs for its team. Bot made a partnership of 141 runs when Bangladesh lost 4 wickets on the score of 99. At one moment it looks Bangladesh score more than 300 runs ,but with the loss of these two batsmen Bangladesh run rate falls down very low and no other batsman would able to continue that momentum and team has to satisfy its score with 275 runs.
Moeen Ali and Ian bell opens for England but early loss of two wickets EIan bell gives a stable but slow start to England which is good enough to chase a small target. But the game turns when Rubel Hossain takes two wickets in a single over. First batsman is Ian bell who got caught by Rahim and another is captain Eoin Morgan who got caught by Shakib at the boundary. Now the England was at backfoot. England need someone to protect its team. Jos butler and chris woakes helps England to fight back and reach England so close to the target but again Rubel Hossain bowled last two players of the team in consecutive two balls of his over and made Bangladesh win this historic match and take his team to enter into Quarterfinals.
Now Bangladesh has to fight with India to enter into semi-final which seems very difficult (verge of impossible) for Bangladesh because India is in great form and India is also the last time winner of world cup. But India should need to be careful and shouldn’t treat Bangladesh an easy opponent. India should play with its Best 11 to move towards final.
This is the first time we are probably going to see four Asian teams in the quarter-finals. Sri Lanka and Bangladesh from Pool A, India and Pakistan from Pool B. I hope the Asian nations continue their good form.
