CES 2017 – What Is Samsung Up To This Time?
Samsung will be unveiling many of its products at the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) 2017.
The company is expected to bring a plethora of new products.
The company has already announced the launch of its Smart TV services, new audio line-up and a robot vacuum at CES next year.
The new TV services – including ‘Sports’, ‘Music’ and ‘TV Plus’ – will offer personalized content to consumers based on their TV preferences through Samsung’s Smart Hub platform.
Samsung plans to further expand the range of content offered through the ‘Sports’ service with additional content partners including NBC Sports, UFC and more.
The ‘TV Plus’ will offer IP-based channels focused on premium content services through a new Smart Electronic Program Guide (EPG) solution.
Samsung customers will no longer have to wait for cable services to offer marathon sessions of their favorite TV shows and can watch immediately just by turning on a TV Plus channel.
The company also announced its newest lineup of user-driven home audio visual products, including the H7 Wireless Speaker, a new soundbar and a new UHD Blu-ray player.
Highlighted across Samsung’s new lineup is UHQ (Ultra High Quality) audio – Samsung’s proprietary technology that enables 32bits of rich, detailed sound from any source that provides 8 to 24bit sound.
Samsung has also announced new standalone sound technology that reflects the needs of consumers who enjoy listening to hi-fi audio – an advancement that is already gaining recognition and winning accolades from the industry.
The Korean giant also made upgrades to its POWERbot line of vacuum cleaner by announcing the VR7000.
The new unit features powerful suction and slim design — at less than 4 inches tall (97mm), it is 28 per cent slimmer than previous Samsung robot vacuums.
The POWERbot VR7000 is equipped with Visionary Mapping Plus and FullView Sensor 2.0.
It maps and remembers contours of the room to provide thorough cleaning.
Later, it can guide itself to dirty areas on any surface.
It can also detect and work around obstacles or small items (less than 10mm or 0.4/inch).
