CRY launches a fundraising and awareness campaign to celebrate Children’s Day Week!
Here is the opportunity for you to gift happier childhoods to underprivileged children while you dine out and enjoy your favorite meal. This Children’s Day Week, over 150 restaurants across the country will join CRY (Child Rights and You) in celebrating children by encouraging people to have ‘Good Food For A Good Cause’. The partnership would be a charity fundraiser where visiting patrons will have the chance to contribute towards happier childhoods by dining at the participating restaurants and donating to CRY.
As part of this initiative, which is powered by Olive Bar & Kitchen and Alliances Galore, some restaurants would be creating a special Children’s Day Week menu, part proceeds of which would go to CRY, while others would encourage people to donate directly by either using a QR code, an online donation link or a physical donation box at the premises.
Olive Bar & Kitchen will also organize an exclusive mentoring session for children from CRY supported projects in Delhi & Bombay at Olive & Hello Guppy respectively. The chefs at these restaurants will coach the kids in the art of cooking a few chosen delicious dishes which will also be featured as part of their Children’s Day special menu across all their restaurants.
“We are extremely grateful to every restaurant that has come forward and provided their support for this initiative to raise funds for children. The objective of this initiative is to bring attention to issues faced by underprivileged children and at the same time celebrate this day with the children from our project areas. The funds raised will be utilized to create a healthy, happy and creative childhood for children in CRY supported projects,” says Vatsala Mamgain, Director – Resource Mobilization, CRY – Child Rights and You.
Other partners to this initiative include Fever 104.8 as the radio partner, Carnival cinemas as the cinema partner and IOAA (Indian Outdoor Advertisers Association) as the outdoor partner.
