Ganeshotsav is the Hindu festival that celebrates Lord Ganesha as the God of New Beginnings and the Remover of Obstacles and is observed throughout India, especially in the state of Maharashtra. This Ganeshotsav, Vodafone has come up with an amazing initiative ‘Vodafone Eco-Ponds’ in the Pune city.
Vodafone has set up ‘Vodafone Eco-Ponds’, a temporary water tank setup that is equipped with a promoter and a life guard at 8 Vodafone stores across the city. These Vodafone stores will help people in the bidding adieu to Ganpati in the environment friendly way.
IOT Device in the Vodafone Eco-Ponds
Vodafone Eco-Pond is fitted with IOT device that helps in tracking the level of water in the tank once the Ganpati idol is immersed. To inform the concerned family/Housing Society/Organizing Committee about the immersion of Ganesha idol, a SMS alert is sent to them.
Pune Municipal Corporation and National Chemical Laboratory support Eco-Ponds
Since Ganesh Chaturthi is very special in Maharashtra so Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and National Chemical Laboratory (NCL) both are supporting this initiative to give environment friendly farewell to our beloved Bappa.
Mobile Visarjan Vans
Mobile Visarjan Vans are also setup by the Vodaone to help in the Visarjan. These vans will be visiting Large Housing Societies and the old age homes to help the residents of the society and the old age people in the Visarjan process.
Just Dial Facility to Devotees
Devotees can just dial 7391000000 to locate all the Vodafone Eco-Ponds.
This Vodafone Eco-Ponds initiative is unique and we all are very grateful to Vodafone for thinking about environment friendly way to celebrate the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi this year. Punekars are obliged to Vodafone India for this method of Ganesh Visarjan and they are looking forward for more such methods.
So, Guys celebrate Environment friendly Ganeshotsav this year to have a brighter future for ourselves and our coming generations ahead #GoodinGoodbyes
