Reliance Jio has completed 16 million customers in its first month of operation. Jio had set a target of 10 million customer base in the month of September and it crossed the target line by 60 %. Reliance Jio has made a record of getting this much customers on its first month, it even break the record of Whatsapp, Facebook, Skype and all telecom operators also.
Mr. Mukesh D. Ambani, Chairman, Reliance Industries Limited, said, “We are delighted and humbled by the overwhelming response across India to the Jio Welcome Offer. Jio is built to empower every Indian with the power of data. We are delighted that people have recognized this and are utilizing our services to the fullest. We are customer-obsessed and committed to improve every day to exceed expectations of our customers.”
Reliance Jio sets new record: 16 million users in 1 month
Main reason behind the success of Jio sim is the pre planning by Jio to reach every corner of India. Jio has introduced Aadhar card verification for Jio sim registration in all 3100 cities of India. This is the first time any telecom operator introduced paper less verification. This enables user to complete his verification within few minutes only by his/her Aadhar card number.
Right now in India, Airtel has the largest numbers of users followed by Vodafone and then Idea. Following is the data of telecom operator users:
Airtel: 280 million users
Vodafone: 210 million users
Idea: 185 million users
If we see these big numbers, then it seems Jio needs to cover a lot to reach to these numbers. But with the speed Jio is going, it will soon beat all the existing telecom operators. Jio has already set a target of 100 million customers before the end of month and wants to create world record with this number. It will consume 250 crore GB data per month and according to team Jio, they are ready to achieve this.
Jio has to keep its service up and it can definitely achieve these numbers.
